The Ministry of Education, Government of India has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standardized tests.
NTA organizes Joint Entrance Examination every year. There are two JEE – Main exams. Students can appear in both and the best of the two has been considered his actual score. The all-India rank is decided by the process of calculating the percentile of each candidate. If students get more than cut off percentile marks, they are qualified for JEE Advanced exam.

Registration of Online Application Forms for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2025 is started.
संयुक्त प्रवेश परीक्षा (जे. ई. ई. मुख्य) – 2025 साठी ऑनलाइन अर्जाची नोंदणी सुरू झाली आहे.
The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) to the NTA from 2019 onwards.
उच्च शिक्षण विभाग, शिक्षण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने 2019 पासून एन.टी.ए. वर संयुक्त प्रवेश परीक्षा (मुख्य) आयोजित करण्याची जबाबदारी सोपवली आहे.
JEE (Main) comprises of two papers. Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.) is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments.
जेईई (मुख्य) मध्ये दोन पेपर असतात. NITs, IIITs, इतर केंद्रीय अनुदानित तांत्रिक संस्था (CFTIs), संस्था/विद्यापीठे ज्यांना सहभागी राज्य सरकारांकडून अर्थसहाय्य/मान्यता प्राप्त आहे, येथे अंडरग्रेजुएट इंजिनिअरिंग प्रोग्राम्स (B.E/B. Tech) मध्ये प्रवेश घेण्यासाठी पेपर 1 (B.E./B. Tech.) आयोजित केला जातो.
It is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 of JEE (Main) is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the Country.
ही JEE (Advanced) साठी देखील पात्रता परीक्षा आहे, जी IIT मध्ये प्रवेश घेण्यासाठी घेतली जाते. जेईई (मुख्य) चा पेपर 2 हा देशातील बी. आर्क आणि बी. प्लॅनिंग अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेशासाठी घेतला जातो.
For Academic Session 2025-26, it has been decided that the JEE (Main) -2025 will be conducted in two Sessions
शैक्षणिक सत्र 2025-26 साठी, जेईई (मुख्य) -2025 दोन सत्रांमध्ये घेण्यात येईल असा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे.

JEE Main Exam 2025-
JEE (Main) – 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Guja Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
JEE (मुख्य) – 2025 इंग्रजी, हिंदी, आसामी, बंगाली, गुजा कन्नड, मल्याळम, मराठी, ओडिया, पंजाबी, तमिळ, तेलगू आणि उर्दू या 13 भाषांमध्ये आयोजित केले जाईल.
(i) A candidate can apply for Session-1 (January 2025) examination and pay the exam fee accordingly candidates will be given opportunity to apply for Session-2 (April 2025) separately (using application number) along with the fee payment, for which separate notification will be issued.
उमेदवार सत्र-1 (जानेवारी 2025) परीक्षेसाठी अर्ज करू शकतो आणि त्यानुसार परीक्षा शुल्क भरू शकतो. उमेदवारांना सत्र-2 (एप्रिल 2025) साठी स्वतंत्रपणे (अर्ज क्रमांक वापरून) शुल्क भरणासोबत अर्ज करण्याची संधी दिली जाईल. त्यासाठी स्वतंत्र अधिसूचना जारी केले जाईल.
(ii) If a candidate wishes to apply for Session 2 (April 2025), the candidate can log in and pay the Exam Fee for Session 2 during that period. If candidate wishes to apply only for Session-2 (April 2025), register later, when application form for Session-2 (April 2025) is active.
जर एखाद्या उमेदवाराला सत्र 2 (एप्रिल 2025) साठी अर्ज करायचा असेल, तर उमेदवार लॉग इन करू शकतो आणि त्या कालावधीत सत्र 2 साठी परीक्षा शुल्क भरू शकतो. जर उमेदवार फक्त सत्र-2 (एप्रिल 2025) साठी अर्ज करू इच्छित असेल तर, सत्र-2 (एप्रिल 2025) साठी अर्ज भरणे चालू असताना नोंदणी करा.
(iii) The application window for Session 2 will be re-opened as per the details available in the information Bulletin and will also be notified separately through a Public Notice.

3) You should visit the Examination Centre, in advance and familiarize yourself with the location and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time.
तुम्ही परीक्षा केंद्राला अगोदर भेट द्यावी आणि परीक्षेच्या ठिकाणी वेळेवर पोहोचण्याचे ठिकाण आणि प्रवासाबद्दल माहिती घ्यावी.
4) The candidates were advised to register through Digi Locker/ABC ID. Those candidates who did not register through the Digi Locker / ABC ID (or chose authentication through non-Aadhaar options), need to report early on the day of the examination (at least 1 hour earlier) to get their Biometrics recorded at the Exam Centre.
उमेदवारांना डिजी लॉकर/एबीसी आयडीद्वारे नोंदणी करण्याचा सल्ला देण्यात आला आहे. ज्या उमेदवारांनी डिजी लॉकर/एबीसी आयडीद्वारे नोंदणी केली नाही (किंवा आधार नसलेल्या पर्यायांद्वारे प्रमाणीकरण निवडले आहे), त्यांनी परीक्षा केंद्रावर त्यांचे बायोमेट्रिक्स रेकॉर्ड तपासण्यासाठी परीक्षेच्या दिवशी लवकर (किमान 1 तास आधी) उपस्थिती देणे आवश्यक आहे.
5) On the day of the Examination, please reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card.
परीक्षेच्या दिवशी कृपया अॅडमिट कार्डमध्ये नमूद केलेल्या रिपोर्टिंग वेळेत परीक्षा केंद्रावर चाचणीच्या ठिकाणी पोहोचा.
If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of the Centre, you will not be allowed to enter the Test venue.
तुम्ही परीक्षा केंद्राच्या गेट बंद होण्याच्या वेळेच्या पुढे आल्यास, तुम्हाला चाचणीच्या ठिकाणी प्रवेश दिला जाणार नाही.
Instructions have been issued for strict compliance.

Pre-examination formalities need to be completed therefore please arrive on time.

Very Important-
You should carry with you only the following items :
तुम्ही तुमच्यासोबत परीक्षा केंद्रावर खालील अत्यावश्यक गोष्टी आणाव्यात. त्या शिवाय परीक्षेला बसता ह्येणार नाही.
i) Admit Card downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear, preferably colour printout on A4 size paper).
NTA वेबसाइटवरून डाऊनलोड केलेले प्रवेशपत्र (A4 आकाराच्या कागदावर स्पष्ट व प्राधान्याने रंगीत प्रिंटआउट) आणावे.
ii) Two Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) is to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre.
दोन पासपोर्ट आकाराचे फोटो (ऑनलाइन अर्जासोबत अपलोड केल्याप्रमाणे) केंद्रातील उपस्थिती पत्रकावर चिकटवावा.
iii) A valid Photo ID Proof in ORIGINAL (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/12th Class Admit card) .
मूळ (पॅन कार्ड / ड्रायव्हिंग लायसन्स / मतदार आयडी / पासपोर्ट / आधार कार्ड (फोटोसह) / ई- आधार / रेशन कार्ड / १२वी वर्गातील वैध फोटो आयडी पुरावा.
Important:
Please note that ID Cards issued by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Coaching Centres, AADHAR enrollment receipts without AADHAR NUMBER, and Photo-copies or Images Stored on mobile phones, etc. will NOT be accepted.
(Note: No Candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Centre, without identity verification).

Exam Pattern
The questions will be based on Syllabus of State Council Of Educational Research And Training, Maharashtra.
Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std.XII curriculum while setting the question paper. Paper 1 and 2 are compulsory for taking admission to Engineering.
There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.
MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks. Details are as given below :
